Coming to international recognition with his poetic vision of the world and passion for music, Wim Wenders has won many awards, notably the Palme d’Or in Cannes for PARIS, TEXAS (1984) and Best Director Award in Cannes for WINGS OF DESIRE (1987). The collection also includes the acclaimed portrait of Cuban music BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB (1999) and cult classic THE AMERICAN FRIEND (1977).
