Produced and co-written by Bernardo Bertolucci, TRIUMPH OF LOVE stars Mira Sorvino as a princess who falls in love at first sight with handsome scholar Agis, in this adaptation of the 18th century Marivaux play. A virtual prisoner of his guardians, philosopher Hemocrates (Ben Kingsley) and scientist, Leontine (Fiona Shaw), Agis (Jay Rodan) has been raised to avoid women, sex and all wordly things. So the princess disguises herself as a man and breaks into their secluded villa in an attempt to woo him.
