Kostas

Kostas is a love story in which a Greek and an Australian struggle with the barriers of their cultural differences. Takis Emmanue plays Kostas, an educated, passionate Greek immigrant and former journalist, who now drives a taxi and lives in a seedy rooming-house in Melbourne. He picks up Carol (Wendy Hughes), an upper-class, genteel divorcee, and asks her out. She is simultaneously repulsed and attracted by his odd, earthy ways and his passion.
